Michael Sheehan is a writer in the Washington, DC area. His writing has appeared in Conjunctions, Agni, Electric Literature, Necessary Fiction, The Sakura Review, Heavy Feather Review, The Rumpus, The Quarterly Conversation, The Sonora Review, DIAGRAM, and others. His chapbook Proposals for the Recovery of the Apparently Drowned was published by Colony Collapse Press.

He was a McCreight fiction fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing and a Vermont Studio Center fellow.

In 2009, he curated and edited the Sonora Review David Foster Wallace Tribute issue.

He lives in the midst of DC traffic with his wife, daughter, son, and dog Miles.

He worked for one summer as a caricature artist at a theme park.
